'May-Day' is the internationally recognised distress call for life threatening situations & emergencies.

'May-Day', (1st May 2008), also happens to be the date of our particular coach crash.

Hence www.may-day.me has been created to raise awareness to those who holiday in Egypt.

This site is dedicated to the memory of the many victims of the Egyptian Tourist Industry, their families and friends. God bless you.

Many people helped us... without them our ordeal would have been so much worse.

Our entire families for all their love and concern.

Angela who shouldered the burden like only a big sister could, to help get us home.

Yousef Fouad and the staff at the British Embassy in Cairo. Our first friendly faces after the crash.

Dawn Bacon MBE – from the FCO in Sharm who supported us 24/7 & to whom we are eternally grateful.

Donna of Picassos Cafe in Sharm who brought us wonderful homemade food & friendship while hospitalised.

Our friends at the Luna Sharm Hotel, (holiday makers & staff), Caring and supportive people all. Tim Williams, Richard & Pam Allchurch and all...

The surgeons at the Suez Hospital who saved Sandra’s fingers.

The Doctors and Nurses at Sharm International Hospital for their compassion & concern around the clock. Including Siad & Mohammed who would go out of their way to cheer us up.

T-Mobile, who reduced our £800 + telephone bill by half. Not just a facelss corporation.

F. Hinds Jewellers in Letchworth, Herts for replacing Sandra’s mangled diamond ring free of charge.

Thank you.
